HISTORY
“Here you can practically touch the stars…sunrises and sunsets bring you serenity…we think of it as our bit
of heaven on earth.”
In the past, the site of Angel Acres ranch was referred to as “the old Howard Place” - where Morgan
horses were trained, bought and sold. In earlier times, the ranch was the watering hole to cattle because of the nearby artesian
well that existed on the property.
Coming from the city to the country, two sisters -Ginny and Liza Madden, and a partner
- Barb Snyder, saw the ranch as a dream come true. “The Girls”, as they are frequently referred to, poured their love, sweat
and tears into developing Angel Acres Horse Hotel and Boarding.
The name ‘Angel Acres’ was chosen because of the many
friends (earth angels) who, with their constant encouragement and prayers, envisioned the ranch and believed in the dream
that it would one day become a reality.
The Girls desired a safe place to board equine year round. A clean, well-lit
environment is maintained, along with the many amenities that have been listed.
