OUR BARN The barn is host to 20 stalls, half with their own lights. Most stalls have dutch doors and feature a pipe paddock. The “hotel equines” will be maintained in separated pipe paddocks during their stay. Each pen is equipped with automatic waterers and outdoor lighting. All boarders are required to have proof of vaccinations, which must be verified by a Veterinarian. YOU CAN SEE FOREVER! From Angel Acres you can see the lights come on in the western town of Santa Nella. You’ll feel like you can touch the stars when they appear. The distant mountain range creates the feeling of wide-open spaces being “touched by an angel”. SAFETY COUNTS Both the horse and the rider need the confidence of a safe, well-maintained facility. Angel Acres has two fire hydrants just outside the barn. Fire extinguishers and fire alarms are checked and maintained regularly. Cautionary features also include quick exits for getting the horses to safety in the unlikely event of an emergency. Good, clean water is a must for equine. Automatic waterers are located in each stall and horse pen. Angel Acres uses stock tank water cleaners (Bio-Reverse, etc), which contain natural beneficial bacteria to breakdown organic algae. A warm water wash rack is set to temp. The hose is on a retractable overhead reel- keeping the hose free and away from the horse’s legs. OUR PASTURES Horsemaster seed was applied to the three rotating pastures. The pastures are irrigated, providing lush and green edible grazing for the equines year round. The pastures are wood fenced inside a perimeter-gated fence. Walkways to the pasture are provided with no-climb fencing, discouraging other animal’s intrusions. Sure latch two-way gate systems with one-handed operations were used on all gates.
